needs. Ezra provides emergency assistance, food and clothing, eviction
prevention and advocacy, vocational training. They are expanding their
specialized work into the field of family relationships. Ezra works closely with

SHALVA is the oldest independent Jewish domestic violence agency in the United
States and is the only Jewish agency in the Chicago metropolitan area
specifically certified by the state of Illinois to provide domestic violence
counseling. All Counseling Services
are free. SHALVA provides a 24-hour help line (773-583-HOPE) for
women in crisis, individual and group counseling, legal information and court
support. Rabbinical and community advocacy, financial assistance and
interest-free loans, information and agency appropriate referral services and
any other related services a client needs to move forward on her path toward
change.
