Our Mission:

A group of men within the Jewish Community who promote healthy relationships by providing education, awareness and prevention programs that will lead to the elimination of violence within relationships.

For far too long now, certain voices have been silent while members of our community are suffering.  These voices will be silent no longer.  The issue of domestic violence has been missing the public outrage of men saying this must stop and that this is not the way to act in relationships.  Shalom Bayit is not just a woman's responsibility--it is everyone's responsibility.  We have come together as a group of Jewish men to take an impassioned stance through education and projects, directed toward men and boys; this stance endorses and teaches caring, non-threatening relationships in families and on the playgrounds.  To make sure that the voices of men are heard, we are excited to announce the formation of a new group in the Chicago community: MENSCH (MEN for Shalom in the Community and Home).  We invite you to become a participant with us in any manner you choose.
